Why study at the UAO CEU?

1. Specialisation, differentiation and professional projection

Economic Criminal Law is studied at a national and international level as a specialisation of Criminal Law, which is not restricted to the development and study of crimes considered to be economic crimes. It extends to other areas including: the extension of economic criminal law, its conceptual basis, technical and theoretical development on aspects of general economic criminal law, to the extent that criminal sanctions apply to conduct which implies the infringement of essential rules in economics, and the responsibility of the company in particular when it comes to the market and the administration, and the responsibility they have to loyalty with regard to the interests of the company.

In order to give response to the training requirements in this area, the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU has created this comprehensive and practical programme taught by expert legal operators in this area (judges, magistrates, tax lawyers, lawyers and university professors).

The student will master the evidentiary obligations and defence and accusation strategies for economic crime.

The average work placement rate is 95% in the postgraduate studies of the CEU.

5. Information resources

The Library Service is conceived as a support unit for study and research. Its most important objective is to meet the educative and scientific demands. It has convenient opening hours, including weekends, with the best computer equipment. In addition, the UAO CEU offers to all the University community a vast digital storage, with free access to its publications from its docent, research or institutional activities carried out by teachers, students or former students from the University.

ADMISSION PROFILE

Students wishing to apply for the official master’s degree in Economic Criminal Law must have a Spanish degree or advanced course (general degree, degree or honours degree) or a foreign degree (equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in the Anglo-Saxon system).
